Flowers over Spring – Floral Cutting Garden Workshop

Mar 21 2013

Beautiful British grown flowers have become incredibly fashionable in the world of floristry and we at Rhubarb & Roses have noticed an increase in the demand for British-grown flowers for weddings and events! People are becoming more conscious about where their flowers and plants are sourced and now with the current economic climate, people are taking an interest in growing their own.

floral cuttingsAccording to an article in the Sunday Times recently ‘You must include a cutting garden as part of your plot’. The advice is that, in the same way you would cut your home grown lettuces, all those lovely flowers that you admire, Sweet-peas, Dahlias and plenty more can be grown in your gardens and harvested regularly. Many of the flowers will keep on producing over the Summer.

If you want to learn how to sow and grow your very own Floral Cutting Garden then come join us at our workshop for a half day class (10 -1pm)

On Thursday 11th April, £50pp, spaces are limited so please book.
